A million dollar smile! Most of us wish to have that perfect smile which celebrities and models have. The good news is, you don’t have to be rich and famous to have the smile you’ve always dreamed of.
All you need to do is to consult and work with your dentist in order to design the smile you can be proud of. And yes, you will be involve and be able to co-design your own smile using this advance esthetic dental procedure called Digital Smile Design.
Now, what is Digital Smile Design (DSD)?
DSD is a multi-use conceptual tool where patient and dentist collaborate in assessing, planning and achieving the perfect smile throughout the treatment. Together, they work on choosing the color, position, shape, size, alignment and overall smile appearance in precise and predictable ways. DSD eliminates doubt, anxiety and guesswork in the treatment process to meet the patient’s expectations.
How does it work?
In the initial appointment, you will discuss with your dentist your concerns and expectations on what you want or how you want your smile to look. All necessary documentation such as photos and videos of your entire face will be taken to digitally analyze facial features and dimensions. Through digital smile analysis we will draw the ideal size and shape of your teeth.
Based on the analyzed drawing, your dentist will coordinate with the dental laboratory to create a wax up design which will be direct mock-up of your mouth.
On the next visit, you will have the opportunity to watch a photo and video presentations with the new smile design. You will know exactly how your new smile will look, and we will only start working on your smile once you are happy with the design we made for you.
If all is approved then the treatment starts.
